I am not going to take time to look up the stats on how many people in the USA suffer from depression on a daily basis. I am confident the numbers would be absolutely staggering. Why is there so much depression in country with so much abundance, opportunity and freedom? What do you think?

Is it possible depression is the luxury of those who have to much money, food, time and opportunity? I wonder if those suffering from depression (I know there are different causes for depression and some are chemically based) were suddenly cast into survival mood what would happen to the depression. What would happen if an individual with depression had to get up every morning and search for food for the day what would happen to their depression. Did you know if you have a dime in your pocket you have more money than two thirds of the world. If you have any food in your refrigerator you have more food than most of the world. Gee, I wonder if those suffering from starvation suffer from depression? I don’t know. I have never actually know anyone who was starving. Have you ever known anyone in the USA that actually had nothing to eat? Maybe you have, I haven’t.

I also wonder if those suffering from deep depression have a relationship with God? I mean do those with depression trust God to supply ALL their needs? Does God supply worth? Does God handle each situation in a person’s life? Does God know our future? Yes to all the questions. Someone wrote, and I don’t remember who, those suffering from depression believe they are worthless, the situation is hopeless and the future is also hopeless. Well, let me ask the questions again. Does God supply our worth. Are we children of a King or not? Does God have the ability to handle all situations? If he doesn’t then He is not all powerful. Does God direct our future? I believe God said He not only knows the future but the future of each of His kids is in His hands. So, depression… is there a real solution? I guess the Government can put anti-depressant drugs in the water supply. Or maybe we could all just trust God to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.

Why so much depression? Well you tell me if you have any idea has to why the USA is leading the pack when it comes to the problem with depression.
