The One Exercise Program That Is Best For You
The one exercise program that is best for you is the one that you will do. I know that is corny and images of fun and excitement do not come to mind. Most of us are all looking for magic. But don’t you ever have days where you feel so lazy that you just don’t feel like exercising? Maybe something happened in your life or you are ill and exercising is no longer a priority. It is guaranteed that there will be times when you just can’t or don’t feel like exercising for whatever reason.

Think about your life, your situation and what are the activities that you know you would enjoy to get your body moving like dancing, bicycling, golfing, walking your dog, hiking, pole dancing, gardening, tennis, yoga, quick push-ups, etc., these could be the activities that could get you out of the slump and back on track with your fitness program. If you are suffering from a serious illness or injury, consult with your physician. In many cases, patients are being told to live as normal a life as possible and exercise.

There are many illnesses, physical and mental in which exercise has become an important part of the therapy. Exercise helps you focus on being healthy and improve your quality of life. It is thought that exercise may even help people with cancer prevent other cancers, lower health risks, and live longer. Physical activity has been shown to:

1. Enhance the immune system.

2. Elevate mood, self-esteem and body image.

3. Relieve stress.

4. Build muscle strength, flexibility, energy and endurance.

Chronic fatigue is the main problem in many serious illnesses especially cancer. Unfortunately the less you move around, the more tired you may feel. To elevate energy, you need to increase in physical activity. An active lifestyle can improve the effectiveness of treatments due to the increased circulation and enhanced feeling of well-being.

Weight loss and weight gain can be balanced with exercise. A person could exercise to burn calories and lose weight. Exercise can also be used to stimulate appetite for weight gain. Because of the Endorphin release from the brain during exercise you may also experience improved mood, self-esteem and body image.

Other conditions such as heart disease and diabetes may be prevented with regular exercise. It will also help reduce the risk of developing colon cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer. Survival rates are improved with exercise. A study of 3,000 breast cancer survivors showed that those who spent a few hours a week walking and/or doing other exercises decreased their chances of dying of breast cancer more than that those that got less than one hour a week.

Make physical activity an important part of your life but make sure its something fun and enjoyable. Even if it is something like pole dancing or even marching in place while you watch TV. Who cares as long as the physical activity is safe for you and gets you moving. Your survival depends on it.
