There are many fad diets out today. They are on the market or they are hear say. The truth about dieting is it should be a way of life. It should not be a quick fix. There is no such thing as a lose fat quick and be healthy. The only time you should ever try and lose a lot of weight in a short period of time is directed by a doctor. That doctor will give you an eating program that will be under his supervision.
In the long run when you lose weight quickly there are two things that will happen. The first thing is you will deprive your body of certain nutrients that you need, for example the low carbohydrate diet. The body needs carbs to function. Digestible carbohydrates are converted into glucose (also known as blood sugar), because cells are designed to use this as a universal energy source.
Yes you can lose weight on this diet but you are depriving your body of carbs which turn into energy. I have never met anyone on a low carb diet that has energy. Plus the biggest risk of depriving your body of carbs is restricting your blood of glucose. This can result into a risk of diabetes and heart diseases. Two much sugar is bad and not enough just as bad.
The point I am trying to get across is that even though you may lose weight on fad diets you may not be as healthy as you think. So stay away from the so called miracle diets and follow the food pyramid.
