Sole Elliptical Trainer - A Sole Elliptical Review
For numerous reasons the Sole Elliptical Trainer has become a popular choice for people who want a solid workout. Sole has grown in the home exercise machine market for ellipticals, in a short period of time because they make solid ergonomic machines that are made to last and that are affordable.

Sole is well known for it’s treadmills, their elliptical trainers have been on the market for the past 6 years, and if you’ve ever been away on a business-class trip or vacation and used the hotel workout room at a Hilton or Monaco hotel, you’ve probably seen or used them, Sole exercise machines are hefty, impressive machines and very well built. We recently got a test model in (the E95 Sole Elliptical) and got a chance to put it through its paces, here is my Sole Elliptical review.

It’s important that your machine can adjust to you. I’m a pretty big guy, and I’ve had stability problems on elliptical trainers before; the sturdy construction of the Sole E95 was impressive to me. It never wobbled as I ran through a workout, and the 20″ stride didn’t make me feel cramped. The handles and foot pedals are well situated and easy to adjust. Since not everyone walks the same way Sole has made the E95 pedals easily adjustable to fit the way you walk, loved it.

Most everything on the Sole Elliptical is adjustable, which helped my wife set up after I used it. Even better, the adjustments don’t require tools. On the downside, the built in fan blew or rather, didn’t blow enough, to keep me as comfortable as I would like. My wife had fewer objections, but she likes the house warmer than I do, in fact it was just right.

Overall experience: The Sole E95 Elliptical is built around a solid flywheel for resistance training, with 20 levels of resistance, and it’s well engineered. It is quiet, no grinding loud noises. It is hefty, not flimsy and light, which is why it’s so stable under me.

It is impossible to buy exercise equipment these days that doesn’t have a plethora of doodads and electrical gadgets, and the E95 Sole Elliptical Trainer is no exception. The multi color LED console has calorimeters, heart rate monitors, mileage trackers and for all I know, the secret access control panel for NORAD. It’s got lots of features, and I appreciate the heart rate monitors built into the grips and chest strap. Mind you, I remember the days when I had to hold my fingers to my neck and count for 15.

Sole has priced their elliptical trainers to be affordable without sacrificing quality of construction, materials or function. Starting from the “budget” E35 Sole Elliptical can be found for around $1,000, the popular and mid-priced E55 Sole Elliptical, to the top end E95 Sole Elliptical for around $2,000 they have built their machines to have the features and durability of elliptical machines that cost more than twice as much. Another great benefit are the industry leading warranties and free shipping is a big plus. Make sure to check out the warranties and shipping on any elliptical machine you are considering.

Overall, I have had a lot of exercise machines that did a lot less that cost a lot more. I’d say that if you must own your own elliptical trainer, you can’t go wrong with a Sole Elliptical.
